DownloadThe Toronto Bioinformatics Hackathon brings together emerging minds from the Discovery District to tackle modern challenges in biology, statistics, and computer science. It's a space for early-career talent to create, collaborate, and solve real problems.
In partnership with the Donnelly Centre and the CBMG program at Temerty Medicine, participants work intensively over three days to design solutions with real-world utility. Projects span data analysis, software tools, and predictive modeling.
Our 2024 launch welcomed over 70 trainees, with platinum sponsorship from Deep Genomics and the Donnelly Centre. Beyond the projects—12 in total—teams shared meals, conversations, and career ambitions. For our partners, it’s more than a weekend. It’s a window into the next generation of researchers, engineers, and entrepreneurs.
